Custom license plates sometimes have letters arranged vertically in front of the number. These vertical letters are part of the license plate number. If you have a plate with letters in front, enter the vertical part of the plate number first, then the rest of the number.
For example, DAV999 is the number of this license plate:
Sometimes the vertical part is after the number. In this case, enter the number first, then the letters top to bottom. Just remember: left to right, top to bottom.

Central Business District Tolling Program (CBDTP) begins January 5
Now, E-ZPass customers entering the Central Business District (CBD), popularly referred to as the Congestion Relief Zone (CRZ), are charged a CRZ toll. The CRZ includes local streets and avenues in Manhattan at or below 60th St, and excludes trips entirely done on the FDR Drive, West Side Highway/Route 9A, and the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel connections to West Street.
